1-Download and installation.
It is not necessary to pay to play lineage 2, you just have to go to the page of the server you want to play and there you can download the game and most of the time you have a guide on how to install it, many times the same page installs you the game with the server patch, another option is that you have to install the game first and then the patch separately, or simply copy and paste the system folder.
2-Account creation.
You create the account on the same page of the server that you chose or you should look for information in the forum on how to create it, this step is necessary because you will have to enter the username and password each time you enter the game.
3-Character creation.
The first time you enter the game an empty room will appear, that is where all your characters will appear, you can have up to 7, in case you want to eliminate one you must wait 7 days until it is definitively eliminated. -To start you click on Create, to create a new character.
You must fill all the characteristics that you want for your avatar.
Name: it is unique, there will not be two alike in the game, it cannot be more than 16 characters maximum without spaces.
Race: you can choose between Human, Light Elves, Dark Elves, Orcs, Dwarves and depending on the saga, Kamael and Ertheia in the last saga.
Class: you can choose between Warrior or Wizard depending on the race, because for example the dwarves are only warriors.
In the other options you can change the appearance of your character.
Once you have finished with this, you click to create character and voila, you already have your character level 1, the most common error that prevents the creation of your character, is the name you chose, it may already be used or the characters you used they are not suitable.
3-Gameplay.
Lineage 2 is a 3d game, therefore you can expect danger to arise in any direction. Getting used to using the mouse well is of the utmost importance.
USE OF THE MOUSE:
One left click.
Select an objective, if you click on the map the character will move to where you pressed.
Double left click.
Your PC will start a predetermined action with the objective, either attack or trade in case of NPC.
Right click + Hold + move it:
The camera rotates around your character depending on where you move the mouse.
Single Right Click:
Returns the camera to the default view, that is, behind your character.
Mouse wheel:
Move the wheel up / down:
Zoom in or out of the camera. NOTE: IT IS ADVISABLE TO KEEP AWAY FROM THE CHARACTER, IN ORDER TO HAVE A WIDE VIEW OF WHERE TO RUN IN CASE OF DANGER.
Click with the wheel:
Reverse the angle of the camera, that is, put the camera directly in front of or behind your character. This is very useful in withdrawal situations.
KEYBOARD USE:
Esc: Cancel the objective or the action that is being carried out with it.
Tab / Alt + V: Open the inventory.
F1-F12: Use the action assigned in the quick access bar.
Alt + K: Skill / Magic window view.
Ctrl: If you keep this key pressed you can attack a PC if you are not in PVP.
Alt + C: Action Window.
Alt + U: Quest window.
Alt + B: Community.
Alt + H: Hides the game's Interfaces (Hp / Mp / Cp Window, Chat, etc) It's nice to take photos
Alt + J: Hide the Chat Window.
Alt + X: System Menu (Exit Game, Restart, Options)
This is the inventory: in which your weapons and armor items are stored, in case you want to equip yourself, you right-click the weapon or part of the armor, or failing that, you drag while keeping the left click.
The next is the action menu, where you have many commands that you can activate just by pressing, from attacking, trading, challenging a duel, to saying hello or laughing. You can drag these actions to the skill bar with a left click for easier use, for example in the image I have the atack command in the first space of the bar, it is activated with F1.
4-I light.
Levear is to gain experience to be able to level up, in this game, it is what makes you make a difference, leveling facilitates the acquisition of new skills and among other things is the level or level (LvL). This is a form of "measure" within the game. The more lvl you are, the more powerful you are going to do. Also as you acquire levels, your stats like P.Atk or M.Atk will increase.
In the bars above you will see that they are differentiated by colors, they are to indicate the following:
Yellow CP: it is the combat power, this will only affect you when you fight against another player before taking life out of you, your opponent must reduce your CP to zero.
Red HP: they are the Heal Hit Points, in Spanish the life points, if that bar reaches zero you die. and you will appear in the closest peace zone with a small loss of your Experience points.
Blue MP: they are the Mana points, it is the magic, when you use a special Skill that bar will decrease, if it reaches zero you will not be able to use skills, you will have to wait for it to load.
Gray EXP: it is the experience bar, every time you kill a monster or finish a quest with an Experience reward that bar will increase, when it reaches 100% you will level up, and the bar will go down again, as shown in the following image :
Take into account that the higher your level, the more it will cost you to reach the next one, because the greater the experience that you will be asked to get to the next level will be, at first you will go up very easy, but at high levels the leveling becomes slow.
5-Equipment.
Depending on the server you play on, at the beginning you are given basic weapons and armor, sometimes even potions to heal MP and HP, but there are cases where you will only start with the most basic weapon and chest. You can change your team as you go playing, you can get it by killing monsters, or you can buy with the adenas that you collect in stores or from other players.
IMPORTANT: keep in mind what kind of Weapon or armor you wear since if you use the wrong one it can reduce speed or resistance. There are three types of ROBE, LIGTH, and HEAVY Armor.
ROBE: It is exclusive for magicians, if you are starting and you are a magician, do not use another one that is not robber because you will lose a lot of casting speed and you will be slow to run. An exception to this is Mage Orcs, who can wear any of the three types of armor, as they are a Mage / warrior combination. If you are another race of warrior than orc, never use robber because you will be very weak.
LIGTH: It is mostly used by daggers, archers since it is a resistant but light armor, when you just start if you are a warrior you can use both Light and Heavy, because just at level 20 you can change profession and there you will have to choose armor according to the profession that you have chosen. An exception is the Kamael race only uses Light as it stands out for its speed.
HEAVY: Like the Light armor at the beginning if you are a warrior you can use both light and heavy, the advantage of this armor is its resistance to attacks, it is the one that has the most defense point but the heaviest, you usually use them the warriors with heavy weapons and always the tanks (they are the ones that in the party endure all the damage of the Raid Boss).
In the case of WEAPONS, you will find two types of weapons, for magicians and warriors, use the one that corresponds to you otherwise you will be losing advantages that one of the other has, if you lean on the weapon they tell you their characteristics, there are three points to have in count: physical attack points, magic attack points, and weapon weight.
If you use a weapon that does not correspond to you and it is also a heavy weapon, it will be very unproductive.
